Workshop in Yerevan dedicated to presenting the results of the study on "Apricot, Peach, Raspberry, and Walnut Value Chains in Armenia"
On August 23, within the frames of the "Promoting Green Deal Readiness in Eastern Partnership Countries" (PROGRESS) programme, AMPERA LLC Consulting Company organised a workshop in Yerevan dedicated to presenting the results of the study on "Apricot, Peach, Raspberry, and Walnut Value Chains in Armenia".
There were 21 participants representing the Ministry of Economy of RA, Armenian National Agrarian University, representatives of various international and local organisations and programmes, agricultural food processors, and farmers.
Based on the results of the study, the value chain selection tool assessment by experts, and the discussions held at the workshop, the consulting company suggested the selection of apricot and raspberry value chains for the future interventions of the PROGRESS.
There were also interesting discussions on orchard establishment, green and climate-smart agriculture, promoting the use of organic fertilisers, certification of nurseries and planting materials, control of chemicals and pesticides, agro-consultancy, digitisation of agriculture and related topics.
PROGRESS is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
