Vahan village of Gegharkunik region is shifting towards renewables
Vahan village of Gegharkunik region is shifting towards renewables․ Summer or winter, solar water heaters keep powering up, transforming daily life, and reducing fuelwood dependency.
20 solar water heaters are installed in the village for vulnerable population who up until now had no access to clean and drinkable water. Around 50 residents are reducing energy usage costs and have access to clean and green energy.
But wait, there's more! Let's break it down with some green math:
20 solar stations = saving 70 m3 of fuelwood = saving 100 trees = capturing 2 tons of CO2 per year.
This incredible work is part of the #EU4Dialogue project implemented in cooperation with local CSOs and municipalities in Armenia, supported by EU & UNDP.
