Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan participated in the Fundamental Rights Forum

On March 12, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan participated in the Fundamental Rights Forum organized by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights in Vienna.

A number of panel discussions took place within the framework of the event, during which issues related to human rights, prevention of discrimination, digitalization and ensuring security, social solidarity were addressed.

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, made an opening speech at the forum via video message. Among the speakers were Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Dunja Mijatović, newly elected Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Michael O'Flaherty (start of office on April 1, 2024), representatives of international institutions, scientific and educational spheres.

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights is an independent body set up to promote and protect fundamental rights in the EU.
